ACT WorkCover, WorkCover NSW and Comcare do approve Osteopathy and Remedial Massage. However, prior to your receiving treatment at ACT SMART Osteopathy approval is required in writing. In particular the approval MUST include your Claim number, the type of treatment you have been approved for, the regularity of treatment, the areas of the body covered for treatment and the duration or number of treatments you are covered for.
It is essential you bring this information to your initial consultation.
DVA card holders may access Osteopathy and Massage after seeking referral from their GP. Gold card holders typically have access Osteopathy and Massage, whilst White card holders are usually only covered for Osteopathy. Please bring the referral from your GP to your initial consultation.
Patients need to consult with their GP in order to determine if they are eligible for Osteopathic treatment under the Medicare Australia Scheme. If approved, you MUST bring your referral and associated paperwork to your initial consultation.
